How we cover
News you can act on, guides you can finish, sources you can check.
1. Primary sources
Vendor advisories, CISA alerts, court filings, and researcher writeups — linked, not laundered. If a claim traces only to a viral post, we say so or spike it.
2. Action-first reporting
Every story answers "what do I do" before "what happened." Breach news ships with the response checklist; vulnerability news ships with the patch path.
3. No fear farming
Severity is stated plainly with who is actually affected. A critical enterprise bug is not written as a threat to your phone, and "could" never headlines as "does."
4. Dated everything
News carries dates, guides carry updated dates, and superseded advice is corrected visibly. Security guidance rots fast; freshness is a feature we maintain.
5. Independence
No vendor pays for coverage or placement. Security-tool links are plain links unless a relationship exists and is labeled in our disclosure.
